13 Little Blue Envelopes by Maureen Johnson:Book Review

13 little blue envelopes tells the story of a girl named Ginny. She gets 13 blue envelopes to be opened one by one after the instruction of each envelope our completed. First envelope tells her to  go to England. These letters are from her dead Aunt Peg.

Now this book had a lot of potential like most books around, but it lacked in development. I didn't  anything about Ginny . I don't know her hobbies, she mentions a friend but we don't know anything about her either. Then there's the parents, she doesn't write to them and she never thinks about them. Another thing is that she never questions the instructions. She just does it, there's emotional thoughts from her. The only person I liked was Richard, the man she stays with in London.

Another thing that bugged was the lack of description she went to London,Rome,Amsterdam, denmark and Greece which are beautiful places. Barely any description, I didn't feel blown away by these places as I was supposed to.

Overall good premise ,poor exucution.

So I give this book 2/5 stars
